Ray has served in positions of increasing responsibility at Multnomah University, Arrow Leadership, SMART – Start Making A Reader Today, and Birch Community Services. Ray is one of 7,700 Certified Fund Raising Executives in the world, has a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University, a degree in Speech Communication and Biblical Theology from Multnomah University and Masters in Business Administration from The University of Portland. Ray and his wife, Rachel, enjoy camping and playing in the snow with their three children.

Mark has two decades of cross-cultural work experience and is passionate about strategies that enrich people’s lives. He earned a Masters degree in Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is married to his high school sweetheart, Ashley. After leading a team and multi-million dollar campus expansion in Cambodia, Mark served as a pastor in Canby. Mark enjoys being with his wife and three kids for outdoor activities including camping, biking, road trips, and working on projects around their home.

Mimi is a strong believer in providing children with every opportunity to find support. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oregon State University with a minor in New Media Communications. Mimi's experience managing volunteer programs during college honed her organizational skills and produced a passion for facilitating a welcoming and safe environment for participants. She enjoys attending concerts, puzzling, fiber arts, and serving in her church.

Mimi offers a warm welcome to each person we serve. Her prior work in banking lends an eye for detail and personal responsibility that is invaluable to the youth and families she serves in tangible ways every day. Mimi has held a variety of leadership roles in her church community and spends her free time going on walks and other outdoor adventures with her son, Matteo. Mimi feels very blessed by her work and being part of a family who serves the Lord with all their hearts.

Jessica has over 14 years of experience in facilities operations and thrives in implementation and relationship building. Her determination has allowed her to build a career in maintenance, safety, and project management. Her love for Canby resonates as she also holds multiple volunteer board positions in the community. Jessica recharges by reading with a cup of coffee in hand or traveling to a beach location with her husband, Shawn, and their two daughters.

Steve is a skilled storyteller and has held account management and business development roles with multi-national retailers. With over fifteen years of operations management experience, Steve is an excellent connecter. He earned a Masters degree in Business Administration from The University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Biola University. Steve and his wife, Nancy, are active in leadership roles in their church, and enjoy spending time with family, kayaking, and live music.

Hired in 2020 as the Thriving Together Coordinator, Christina and was promoted to her current role in 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Science from California State University Long Beach in Sociology with an emphasis in Group Relations. With over five years of business marketing experience, Christina's ability to lead teams and execute plans enables her persistent and creative work to help others. She enjoys having new experiences and spending time with husband, Ulises, and their two dogs.

Hannah earned a degree in Mathematics (minor in Business Management) from Corban University and is experienced in non-profit partnership development and program administration. From 2021 to 2023, Hannah managed a successful $8M capital campaign for The Canby Center's expansion. Her prior work with World Venture equipped young adults for global outreach. Hannah is passionate about seeing individuals transformed in relationships with Christ. and community.

He earned a Bachelor's degree in Education and Theology from Multnomah University. BJ enjoys exploring local trails with his wife and two children and is very receptive to suggestions on regional cuisine.

Steve began volunteering at The Canby Center in 2021, giving back over 300 hours to the community. Quickly becoming an indispensable member of the team, he joined officially in 2022. Steve’s extensive experience in warehouse management makes him an ideal trainer in safe equipment operation. Bold, kind, and charismatic, Steve leads diverse teams of volunteers with unwavering dedication to service above self. Steve and his wife, Linda, live in Canby.

Joy's history of service encompasses church ministries to children and families, nonprofits and small business settings. She is passionate to be a voice for the voiceless and seeing mercy triumph over judgment. Joy enjoys time with family and friends, exploring new destinations, and watching gardens grow.

She earned a degree in Organizational Leadership and Management from North Park University and is pursuing a Masters from Portland Seminary. Experienced working with young people and teams in a cross-cultural setting, Roberta loves learning languages and experiencing new cultures through music, food, customs and authentic relationships. She enjoys time at the beach and camping with her husband, Joel, and step-daughter.

Macaela has flourished in diverse roles including nonprofit event management and corporate account management. Her eye for detail has helped transform challenges into achievements for youth leaders, national organizations, and large companies. She grew up in Canby and will soon graduate from Portland State University with a degree in Urban and Public Affairs (minor in Communication). Macaela delights in fresh flowers, paddleboarding, and keeping up with her many nieces and nephews.

Izaak earned a Bachelor of Arts from Linfield University. He has had the opportunity to work alongside several non-profit organizations, assisting with both fundraising efforts and media relations. With the rapid growth of The Canby Center, Izaak is excited to have an impact on the upcoming expansion and assist the organization in the pursuit of its mission. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, fishing, and playing golf with friends and family.

Charlie, a lifelong resident of Canby, served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years and graduated from the University of Colorado. He retired from NW Natural after 32 years and now consults in the natural gas industry. Active in Canby Rotary and the Canby Educational Foundation, he holds leadership roles in both. Charlie and his wife, Denise, attend Canby Alliance Church.

Dave is a professional engineer and consultant with a BSEE from Iowa State University. He has extensive experience in electronic power conversion and semiconductors, with 22 patents granted. Dave enjoys connecting with people in corporate and service environments and supporting local ministry work.

Laurie moved to Canby in 1990 from Golden, Colorado. She has been active in the Canby community, serving in church events, schools, and the Canby Educational Foundation. Laurie and her husband, Brian, raised three daughters in Canby and have two grandchildren. She enjoys working with FFA students and raising St Croix Hair Sheep.

John, who moved to Canby in 1991, holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and has 15 years of experience in energy services. He retired after 23 years as Director of Environmental Health & Radiation Safety at OHSU. John and his wife, Lynn, are proud parents and grandparents, attending Oregon City Church of Christ.

Janel is a longtime Canby resident and retired Human Resource Analyst from the Oregon Department of Human Services. She actively participates in the Backpack Buddy program, feeding hungry kids. Janel attends Canby Christian Church and leads the ministry for Funeral Receptions.

After a 20-year career in nonprofit leadership including Rescue Mission ministry, drug abuse prevention and higher education, Sheri transitioned into spiritual direction and has been offering this gift to Christ-followers since 2013. Sheri Philips and her husband, Scott, moved into the City of Canby two years ago and attend New Hope Church in SE Portland.
